TOURNAMENT APPLICATION ENTRY FORM FOR 2008
TOURNAMENT RULES
1. RULES: The following rules
for this tournament will be used. The rules will be interpreted by the
Tournament Officials and all decisions are final. All participants will abide
by all Federal , State and Local regulations. There will be no exceptions.
boats must have proof of liability insurance.
2. ELIGIBILITY: All
individuals, 18 years of age or older unless participating with a parent or
legal guardian, and who have paid the proper entry fees. Entry form must be
completely filled out and signed by both contestants.
3. ENTRY FEES: Team $40.00
per boat Big Bass $10.00 per boat optional. Cash check or money orders only.
4. TEAM
& ALTERNATES: Will consist of 1 or
2 people per boat.
5. PAYBACK : 1 (one) payback
for every 8 boats 85% of total entry
fees. Big Bass 1 (one) Payback for every 30 boats + 1 [100% payback
6. TAKE-OFF: Will be in the
order entries are received. The take-off site will be the official check-out
and check-in area. Live wells and kill switches will be inspected during
take-off.
7. BOATS & MOTORS: Boats
15 feet or longer with properly working aerated live-wells and kill switch. No
air boats allowed . All boats must meet U.S. Coast Guard and State Water Patrol
regulations. Horse power may not exceed manufactures rating for that boat. No overpowered boats.
8. TACKLE & EQUIPMENT:
Only artificial lures and baits may be used. All bass must be caught alive on a
rod and reel during Tournament hours from a boat in a sporting manner. No
trolling.
9. SAFETY & SPORTSMANSHIP: Safe boating and fishing practices must be observed at all times. Life jackets must be worn and kill switches attached anytime the boat is above idle speed. Each contestant is expected to follow the highest standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. At the discretion of the Tournament Director, Tournament days may be shortened or cancelled
due to unsafe weather or water conditions. No alcohol or illegal drugs may used during tournament hours or before a polygraph test.
10. PERMITTED FISHING
LOCATIONS: Anywhere on the Tournament lake except within 50 yards of another
contestants anchored boat, or the take-off area inside the marker buoys. Also
not within 50 yards of a public gas pump. All fishing must be done from the boat.
No contestants may leave the boat to land a fish and no trailering during
tournament hours. Tournament Director may also specify other off limit
locations the day of the tournament.
11. SCORING: Largemouth ,
Spotted Kentucky and Smallmouth Bass will be weighed. Only 5 fish per boat may
be weighed-in. All bass must be 15 inches. All fish to be measured on official measuring board, Golden rule
Keeper Board. All fish will be measured with the mouth closed , and tail
pinched or fanned. Any short fish presented for weigh-in will result in a 1
(one) pound deduction from the total weight and the loss of the short fish.
Dead fish will receive a 1 (one) pound deduction per fish and only 2 dead fish
per boat. No culling inside the marker buoys, take-off cove or weigh-in area.
12. WEIGH-IN: Will begin at
the end of Tournament hours. No fish will be weighed in until then. One team
member must be present to verify weight during weigh-in.
13. PROTEST: Must be filed
within 10 minutes in writing after weigh-in and signed . Person or persons,
making protest will be responsible for the payment of the polygraph test.
Tournament officials will determine if a polygraph will be given. Random testing
may be given at anytime by tournament officials with or without a protest being
filed. Any polygraph given as a result of a protest and results in the team
failing the test. The team who has filed the protest and paid for the test
will have the cost of the polygraph test returned. Tournament officials who
were contestants in the tournament will take a polygraph if any protest is
filed against them.
14. TIES: Ties for total
weight will be broken by big bass. Ties for biggest bass will be broken by
total team weight. In event they tie it will be broken by a COIN TOSS.
15. CHECK-IN LATE PENALTY:
All boats must check-in, any boat weighing in that has not checked-in will be
disqualified. Late penalty is 1 (one) pound per minute up to ten minutes then
disqualification. The check-in area will be the same as the take-off area. No
exceptions.
16. CELL PHONES/ WIRELESS
COMMUNICATION: Cell phones are allowed to be used during tournament hours.
However any use of a cell phone or any other form of wireless communication to
get information about fishing is banned during tournament hours. This may also
be a question asked on a polygraph.
17. POLYGRAPH TEST: Each
contestant agrees by their signature on application, to submit to a polygraph
test. Directors will determine who will take the test. Anyone refusing to take
the test will be disqualified. The polygraph or voice stress test may or may not be given the day of
the tournament.
18. CHALLENGE RULE: Short
fish may be challenged, we will stop weigh-in and make every effort to
determine if the fish is short or dead.
19. TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR(S):
May also be contestants in the tournament. During weigh-in , another contestant
will be asked to measure and weigh the Director(s) fish.
20. APPLICATION: In signing this application I hereby waive and release all other contestants, tournament sponsors and tournament officials from all claims of injury or damage incurred in connection with All Seasons Buddy Bass Tournament in anyway or form, and I will submit to a polygraph test if required. Ignorance or failure to understand any and all tournament rules will excuse no team from the rules of this tournament. The rules will be interpreted by the Tournament Officials and all decisions are final.
